On October 22, 2008, The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) joined in celebrating the restoration and opening of one of New York’s most prestigious landmarks, The Plaza.

Reopening with private residencies, unmatched services and amenities and of course The Plaza Retail Collection the magnificent, open boutique shopping area nestled below. It has the feel of walking into a private display from the world’s premier designers and epicureans.

As a highlight to this grand opening  two specially-designed for FTBC, a fabulous T-Shirt, designed by Betsy Johnson and a magnificent Beach Grass Candle by Latitudes, are being offered with proceeds benefiting the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC).

The Plaza Retail Collection opening, held tonight in the newly renovated Plaza Hotel on Central Park South in NYC, was an exclusive, invitation-only shopping night, and a personal introduction to the stores that have already opened. Ten percent of net proceeds from the shopping event as well as from the week of October 22nd – 29th will be donated to FTBC.
