Nicole Kidman says she has made a new rule forbidding her family to be apart for more than a week at a time.
Nicole and her singer husband, Keith Urban, vowed to prioritize their personal lives over their work following the birth of their first child together, daughter Sunday Rose.
Nicole says that she used to be separated from her husband for long periods of time because of their busy schedules, but recently reduced the allowed time gap to two weeks.
But now, Nicole says she can’t bear to be apart from her family for any more than seven days.
“We reduced it even more. I have reached a stage in my life when I want to be with the ones I love. I used to be willing to do two weeks. And that is too much now; my heart aches. I’ve given a lot to my work, and I’m not willing to give as much to that anymore. At this time in my life, I want to be giving to my relationships.”
