At the Vogue Fashion Fund Awards at Skylight Studios on Monday, November 17th, election night fashion was still on everyone’s mind.
“She saw that dress and she liked it,” said Narcisco Rodriguez, who designed Michelle Obama’s Election Night dress. “She saw it on the runway, she chose it, I guess from the runway…”
When asked if he’d known in advance that she would wear it, he nodded slowly and mouthed the word “Yes.”
When Mr. Rodriguez was asked if he would be designing the inaugural gown, he answered “It would be nice to think so.”
unfortunately, the frock was fugly according to my unofficial polling. and, according to my cringing designer friends the red clashed with malia’s red dress. believe me, i don’t want to be the one to bring this up but someone needed to.
