Mel Gibson may receive some heat for this one, he donates $10 million each year to the conservative Catholic sect he founded.
This is according to financial paperwork obtained by Fox News.
The Holy Family Catholic Church, which is now worth $42 million thanks to a $9.89 million hand-out from Gibson in 2007, and a similar one the previous year.
Money given to the church, which Mel Gibson built on his Malibu, California estate - and boasts just 100 members is all tax free.
Mel Gibson’s strong religious beliefs have been questioned in the past.
His 2004 movie The Passion of the Christ was accused of encouraging anti-Semitism and then in 2006 he fired off an anti-Semitic rant at police officers following his arrest for driving under the influence (DUI).
