Mark Wahlberg has vowed never to return to his musical roots. Mark Wahlberg first rose to fame as a rapper after his 1991 debut with Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.
He says: “I just felt like I wanted to do music early on and then when I started acting I had to wait until I could do another record anyway. And two or three records in I really felt like I had found my niche.” Mark also admits he’s desperate to hide his embarrassing musical past from his three young children.
He adds, “I’m trying to figure out some way to destroy the evidence. I have a few years to come up with a good excuse but I have a lot of explaining to do.”

His acting is definitely more respectable, although hiding it from his kids is over the top. Starting out as a white rapper took balls, he should hide his past.
