Madonna’s rep has hit back at reports that the singer is keeping her New York neighbors up all night with her noisy studio sessions, stating the singer enjoys early bed times.
Fellow residents at Harperley Hall, where Madonna purchased a second apartment in 2007, have allegedly been complaining about the noise level coming from her seventh floor residence, which she has converted into a recording studio.
They claim the singer has been working into the early hours in preparation for her ongoing Sticky + Sweet tour.
A source told the New York Daily News, “They asked her for a schedule of when she would practice, but she hasn’t adhered to it. The music is playing at all hours of the night, and the noise from the drums and the bass blares through the walls.”
Madonna’s spokesperson has denied the allegations, dismissing the claims as false.
The rep says, “Madonna does not stay up till all hours of the night… so I can’t imagine there is any validity to this story. She needs her rest. She’s a working girl, you know.”
